Field Project Engineer - Power Generation

About the role:

Muleshoe, TX, Seminole, TX, and Hobbs, NM

We are looking for a Field Project Engineer to support the construction, commissioning, and startup of two combustion turbine power generation projects. This hands-on field role supports EPC construction activities, engineering coordination, technical issue resolution, and project execution. You will report directly to the Project Manager and work with project teams, contractors, and vendors throughout construction and startup.

The location for this opportunity is Muleshoe, TX, and Seminole, TX, and Hobbs, NM. The duration of the contract is 12 months, with a high potential for extension. The schedule is full-time, onsite, with a 5-day workweek. Per diem is available for qualified non-local candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support EPC Request for Information (RFI) submittal and response processes.
• Review drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables during construction.
• Help resolve open engineering and technical issues in the field.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Monitor field construction activities and provide technical support to project teams.
• Participate in commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover activities.
• Track engineering deliverables and document transmittals.
• Support document control processes and maintain project records.
• Review field conditions and communicate technical concerns to project team members.
• Help with project reporting, field observations, and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting EPC, industrial, utility, or power generation construction projects.
• Familiarity with RFI processes, document control, and engineering change management.
• Experience working in field construction environments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Valid driver's license.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $35.00/hour to $40.00/hour.
