Master Scheduling Manager

The Master Scheduling Manager is responsible for developing,
managing, and optimizing the master production schedule to ensure customer
demand is met while maximizing manufacturing efficiency, inventory performance,
and on-time delivery. This position serves as the central coordination point
between Sales, Program Management, Production, Materials, Procurement,
Engineering, and Customers to balance demand, capacity, material availability,
and production priorities.

Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries.

Job Summary

  • Develop,
    maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support
    customer demand and company objectives.
  • Balance
    customer requirements, production capacity, material availability, and
    inventory levels to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Collaborate
    with Sales, Program Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and
    Manufacturing to establish realistic production schedules.
  • Analyze
    demand forecasts and customer orders to identify scheduling risks and
    capacity constraints.
  • Lead
    Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and scheduling review meetings.
  • Coordinate
    new product introductions (NPI) into production while minimizing
    disruption to existing manufacturing schedules.
  • Partner
    with Materials Management to ensure timely material availability and
    minimize shortages.
  • Monitor
    and improve key planning metrics including, o
    n-time delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, manufacturing throughput, inventory turns, work-in-progress, and past due work orders.
  • Drive
    continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, planning
    processes, and ERP system utilization.
  • Maintain
    accurate planning parameters within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Support
    customer escalations by developing recovery schedules and communicating
    realistic commitments.
  • Prepare
    and present production and scheduling performance reports to senior
    leadership.
  • Lead
    and develop production planners and scheduling personnel.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand load plans
  • Ability to read and understand production drawings
  • Basic component identification skills
  • Ability to build electronic assemblies

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's
    degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial
    Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent
    combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 7-10
    years of production planning or master scheduling experience.
  • Minimum
    of 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience
    in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or PCB assembly manufacturing
    required.
  • Experience
    in high-mix/low-volume manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Experience
    supporting OEM customers in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Strong
    understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
    methodologies.
