| Position Purpose |
The Facility Operations Planner plans, schedules, and coordinates maintenance work so that trade teams and outside service providers can perform their work efficiently, safely, and with minimal delay. Rather than simply processing incoming work orders, the Planner looks ahead to schedule upcoming workloads across shops, and confirms that the right people, parts, and resources are in place before work begins.
Working as a partner to Shop Supervisors and departmental management, the Planner develops realistic schedules, keeps the maintenance backlog moving, and removes barriers that slow work down so supervisors can focus on leading their teams. The Planner serves as the central coordination point for multi-shop work, contractors, utility shutdowns, and space access, and uses operational data, such as backlog, preventive maintenance completion, overtime, emergency work, and schedule compliance, to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance Services and provides additional support for administrative and management functions as needed. |
