Job Description

"The Warehouse Supervisor supervises employees engaged in lifting, transporting and loading materials for manufacturing, shipment or storage. Oversees the handling, packaging, and storage of supplies and materials moving materials in and around production. Prepares schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.

Maintains receiving, warehousing, material handling and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operations, and personnel policies and procedures.

Under the direction of the Production Manager complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Completes warehouse operational requirement by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orientation, and training employees.

Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Coordinates and participates in daily entering of receipt of raw materials, supplies and finished goods in computer systems.

Maintains plastic recycling program by initiating and coordinating the scrap grinding operation.

Coordinates movement of finished goods and raw materials between main warehouse and off-sight storage.

Coordinates the receipts of cartons, pallets and other supplies from suppliers as required by manufacturing

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Freight claims with carriers.

Other duties as assigned.

Maintain assigned Business Contingency Plan and ISO Documents.

Responsible for departmental safety: guides and promotes safe work performance; conducts safety training; encourages hazard identification; conducts accident reporting and investigation; and enforces safety regulations, methods, and PPE required in department.

Responsible for fostering and promoting the development of Human Capital and its accountable for administering bi-annual performance reviews for all salaried direct reports and annual for hourly reports.

Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Managing time off requests while maintaining operational support.

Controlling inventory levels.

* Hours will be hybrid 3 days 8am-5pm and 2 days 10am-6pm*

What We Value

Must possess a knowledge of good manufacturing methods, company operations, purchasing practices, and inventory control procedures.

Proven leadership, motivational, and negotiation abilities are necessary.

Able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and other manufacturing personnel.

A good mechanical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, provide interpersonal relations, and verbal/written communications skills are required.

Must be safety conscious and comply with safety rules and regulations.

What We Want From you

Five to seven years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment exposure to the following areas of expertise preferred; inventory control, capacity planning, MRP systems, and production control activities.

Regular attendance.

Frequent interaction with others.

Ability to communicate up to employees

Ability to move from one place to another

Ability to work on a computer

Warehouse/Office environment"
