Your Role on the Team

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) at UCI Health is responsible for strategic and operational support, providing consultation to multiple units of medium scale. The HRBP leverages their advanced knowledge and experience as an HR professional to be an effective partner for leaders and co-workers, independently formulating tailored solutions to a range of employment matters of varied complexities. This position serves as a trusted advisor and will be responsible for workforce planning and performance.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Advanced knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures including employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources as well as organizational initiatives relating to and / or affecting human resources.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; advanced knowledge of functional area and understands how work affects other areas in Human Resources and the organization.
  • Strong analytical, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and / or other related business software programs and systems.
  • Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to present complex information.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle extremely difficult or volatile situations / individuals effectively. Demonstrated active listening and critical thinking skills.
  • Possesses advanced analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an HR Generalist.
  • Previous experience working in HR in a healthcare organization.
  • Experience in a union environment.

Preferred:

  • Strategic HR Business Partner (sHRBP) Certification
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification
  • PHR or SPHR Certification
  • Previous experience working as a HR Business Partner.

Special Conditions:

  • This position may be required to report at different work sites including Irvine, Orange, and other locations. The incumbent must be able to provide their own means of transportation to/from work locations..

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $100,100- $143,800 (Annual).
