Start Date TBD Contract Sheppard Trainer Maintenance Salary Range $41.01/Hour Posting Date 07/30/2026 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible Job Summary: M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic who will inspect, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify (TCTO's) hydraulic, f uel, rigging, landing gear, oxygen, pressurization, pneumatic, air conditioning, heating, deicing, fire extinguishing and other aircraft systems as required. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Maintain and repair aircraft trainers. * Inspect and maintain support equipment, special tools, slings. hoist, maintenance stands. * Repairs, reworks, and replaces components or parts of systems to ensure proper system operation. * Makes necessary adjustments to controls, linkages, and actuating mechanism. * Jacks and levels aircraft for major modifications, or alignments checks and for the functional evaluation of system operations. * Operates assigned Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Support equipment as required. * Tests and checks systems with assistance from specialist in occupations such as electronic, electrical and armament, as required. * Tow, wash, lube, and inspect assigned aircraft and equipment. * Performs operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools. * Repairs, reworks, and replaces components of wheel and tire assemblies and support equipment systems to ensure proper system operation as required. * Records all inspection/maintenance action using AFTO Forms, computer terminals or other means as required. * Independently plans sequence of tasks, selects appropriate tools and equipment, and refers to workbooks and technical publications to determine specifications to be met. * Advises the Aircraft Lead on needs for schedule changes, and supply issues and customer support. * May be required to assist DMIL Specialist when additional personnel are required. * Complies with all company, OSHA, AFOSH and customer safety requirements. * Performs other duties as required. Qualifications and Experience: * High school graduate or equivalent. * Applicants must have at least eight (8) years of specialized experience as a USAF 2A3X3/7/9, 2ASX1, or equivalent civilian/sister service qualifications. * Requires understanding of Technical Order requirements. * Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret detailed technical publications and instructions. * Must have the ability to deal courteously, professionally, and effectively with the customer. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and express thoughts clearly in oral and written English. Page 2 of 2 * Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance. * Current valid U.S. Driver's License. Working Conditions: * Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
