Lecturer in Public Budgeting & Financial Management

The Department of Urban Planning and Public Policy in the School of Social Ecology invites applications for a qualified lecturer to teach a course in Public Budgeting and Financial Management for its online Master of Public Administration. The course will be offered in Spring Quarter 2027. In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include preparing course materials for asynchronous online instruction (syllabus, recorded lectures, assignments, etc.), maintaining a course website, holding office hours, assigning grades, and advising students. To assist with course development, the lecturer will have access to a team of instructional designers through the Social Ecology Hub for Innovative Education.

Required: M.A., M.S. or doctoral students who are advanced to candidacy in a field appropriate to the course (e.g., Public Administration, Urban Planning, Public Policy).

Desired: A Ph.D. in a field appropriate to the course (e.g., Public Administration, Urban Planning, Public Policy). Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
