Overview The Apprentice Engineer supports the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of facility infrastructure and building systems under the guidance of senior engineers, technicians, and facility management personnel. The position serves as a developmental role within the Facilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) organization and provides hands-on training in the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, building automation, life safety, and utility systems commonly found in federal facilities. Responsibilities typically include assisting with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, work order execution, and compliance activities. Apprentice Engineers gain practical experience while supporting uninterrupted facility operations and mission readiness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and utility systems.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
