You'll Support Meaningful Work By:
  • Developing and executing sales strategies that drive growth across K-12 and Higher Education markets.
  • Leading and coaching a team of sales consultants, while supporting field sales efforts and strengthening dealer capabilities.
  • Identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities with school districts, colleges, universities, and education partners.
  • Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with education decision-makers, customers, and dealer partners.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Dealer Development, Research, and Smith System teams to expand market impact and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Analyzing market trends, customer insights, competitive activity, and performance data to inform strategy, pipeline development, and resource deployment.
  • Driving education-focused programs, customer experiences, training initiatives, and sales execution to achieve revenue and market growth objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of progressive sales experience
  • Experience working within K-12 and/or Higher Education environments
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results without direct authority
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions and stakeholder groups to achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that drive growth
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field
  • Sales leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience in education, contract furniture, commercial interiors, or related industries
  • Strong strategic selling, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to use data and market insights to drive growth
Compensation:
In compliance with pay transparency laws, the annual base salary range for this position is $157,300 - $245,800 USD. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Base salary ranges may be higher in select metropolitan and premium-pay markets within the United States. Additional compensation information will be provided during the recruitment process upon request.
