Summary of the Job:

This role is responsible for leading business development strategy, sales execution, and market expansion across two critical growth businesses within FNBO. This role drives revenue growth through the acquisition of strategic clients, development of high-performing business development teams, and execution of growth strategies that strengthen FNBO's market position.
The role has broad accountability for two distinct business lines, the majority of the role is supporting Home Improvement Lending.

1.Home Improvement Lending (HIL) - Leading a team responsible for acquiring and expanding relationships with contractors, dealers, and organizations that offer FNBO lending solutions to consumers seeking financing for home improvement projects.
2.Card Personalization Solutions - Leading a business development associate responsible for acquiring organizations that require card issuance and personalization services, including gift cards, debit cards, credit cards, and related payment card solutions.

This role develops and executes business growth strategies, establishes long-term client acquisition plans, manages business development resources, and influences outcomes across multiple departments and stakeholders. In addition to leading business development for HIL and Card Personalization, they will also play a leadership role in the overall business development team including the Cobrand and Financial Institution credit card business development space. This position contributes to the long-term growth strategy of the full business while ensuring annual revenue, client acquisition, and profitability objectives are achieved.

About This Role:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute annual and multi-year business development strategies for POS Lending and Card Personalization businesses.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive threats that may impact business performance.
  • Establish growth priorities, target markets, and client acquisition strategies that drive sustainable revenue expansion in alignment with the organization's growth objectives.
  • Direct strategic planning activities and establish measurable performance indicators supporting business objectives.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion

  • Own growth outcomes across both business lines, including new client acquisition, pipeline development, market penetration, and revenue generation.
  • Direct business development efforts aimed at expanding FNBO's presence in the home improvement financing ecosystem by leading market expansion initiatives to secure contractors, dealers, distributors, and affinity organizations that can offer FNBO financing solutions.
  • Drive growth within the Card Personalization business by securing new issuer, fintech, program manager, and corporate relationships.
  • Identify and pursue complex, high-value opportunities that significantly impact business results.

Business Development Leadership

  • Lead and develop high-performing business development teams responsible for sourcing, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Establish sales processes, client acquisition standards, and performance expectations that drive consistent results.
  • Monitor pipeline health, forecast business performance, and implement strategies to address performance gaps.

Client & Partner Relationship Management

  • Develop executive-level relationships with prospective clients, strategic partners, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as an executive representative for FNBO with external organizations and industry associations.
  • Lead negotiations for large, complex, and strategically important client opportunities.
  • Partner with legal, credit, operations, technology, risk, finance, marketing, and product teams to successfully onboard and support new clients.
  • Ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention through strategic relationship oversight.

Financial & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and manage operating plans that support business growth objectives.
  • Allocate financial and talent resources across business development functions to maximize performance and return on investment.
  • Evaluate growth opportunities using financial, operational, and market-based analysis.
  • Ensure business development activities operate within risk, compliance, and governance requirements.

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Drive collaboration across product, operations, technology, marketing, risk, finance, and executive leadership teams.
  • Influence decisions impacting business strategy, capacity planning, product development, and client experience.
  • Lead resolution of complex business challenges that affect growth, client acquisition, and operational execution.
  • Represent business development priorities in executive discussions and planning forums.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in sales, business development, or financial services
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Experience building, developing and leading large, distributed, high-performing teams
  • Experience launching and scaling new business opportunities
  • Strong background in building and managing strategic partnerships
  • Experience managing revenue goals or P&L
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Frequent travel required
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $160,298.00-$272,508.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work remotely, offering you the freedom to contribute to our mission from wherever you work best, without compromising on career growth or connection to our team. Regardless of your location, you'll be fully integrated into our team through robust digital collaboration tools and regular communication. The incumbent can work remotely from any of the states listed on the job posting, though occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings. Please note, work location is subject to change based on business needs.
