ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is seeking a Executive Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This position is remote. The Executive Recruiter drives end-to-end Account Executive and technical hiring for ESG, serving as a strategic talent advisor to leadership. This role builds trusted partnerships with business unit leaders, strengthens internal recruiting capacity, and ensures ESG attracts high caliber technical, operational, commercial, and leadership talent aligned with its mission and growth plans.

The Executive Recruiter plays a central role in ESG's future state vision of controlled agency use, predictable spend, high-quality internal recruitment, and a more valuable, strategically aligned organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Executive & Senior Level Search Management



  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for senior level Account Executives with some technical and operational roles.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with Account Executives and industry stakeholders to ensure a steady talent pipeline of talent.
  • Develop search strategies aligned with workforce planning and project demand to recruit Account Executives across ESG's commercial, public sector, construction, engineering, and operational teams.
  • Identify and engage potential executive candidates through networking, direct outreach, professional networks, and market mapping.
  • Build robust market intelligence, talent mapping, and proactive pipelines in critical ESG verticals including business development, renewable energy, energy efficiency, microgrid solutions, project development, construction management, and engineering.
  • Conduct structured executive assessments focused on leadership capability, technical expertise, and culture alignment.
  • Attend conferences as appropriate to build rapport with potential future Account Executives.


Strategic Partnership & Advisory



  • Partner closely with ELT, Business Unit Leaders, and Directors to define role requirements, success profiles, and hiring strategies.
  • Provide insight into labor market trends in energy, infrastructure, sustainability, and high-demand technical roles.
  • Advise leaders on interview strategy, assessment calibration, and hiring best practices.


Strengthening ESG's Internal Recruiting Function



  • Support the transition of ESG away from fragmented agency use toward a centralized, HR managed talent acquisition model.
  • Drive compliance with enterprise-wide vendor, fee, and intake standards.
  • Maintain visibility into hiring needs, requisition strategy, and performance reporting.
  • Reinforce the Unsolicited Resume Policy in all external engagements, ensuring ESG avoids unnecessary spend and legal exposure.


Candidate Experience & Brand Stewardship



  • Deliver a high touch, confidential, and responsive candidate experience aligned with ESG's people first culture and reputation as a Great Place to Work.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting ESG's mission to strengthen community infrastructure, innovate energy systems, and drive resiliency.


Process Excellence & Compliance



  • Ensure all executive search workflows comply with ESG policies, documentation standards, and data accuracy requirements.
  • Maintain rigorous recordkeeping in ATS systems and uphold confidentiality in sensitive leadership searches.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; advanced degree or executive search certification preferred.
  • 5 - 10+ years of executive or senior level recruiting experience; experience within energy, engineering, infrastructure, sustainability, or construction sectors strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building pipelines for professional, technical, engineering, and project management roles in fast moving environments.
  • Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills across all levels of leadership.
  • Expertise in candidate assessment, competency-based interviewing, offer negotiation, and search strategy design.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with executives and candidates.
  • Ability to operate with discretion, manage sensitive information, and influence high stakes decision making.
  • Experience supporting organizations transitioning away from heavy agency reliance is highly beneficial. (Aligned with ESG's strategic hiring reinvestment goals.)
