The Chassis Vehicle Systems Release (VSR) is responsible for leading the technical execution of Chassis systems throughout the vehicle development process. This role serves as the primary technical contact for assigned vehicle programs, ensuring performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives are achieved while coordinating activities across cross-functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include: Lead technical development and delivery of chassis systems for assigned vehicle programs; coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve program milestones and vehicle targets; manage technical risks, issue resolution, and escalation processes; monitor and report program KPIs, status, and readiness; drive technical trade-off decisions balancing performance, quality, cost, and timing; support vehicle launch activities and continuous improvement initiatives; serve as a key interface with Program CVEs, Technical Managers, Platform Program Leaders, suppliers, and engineering.

Basic Requirements:



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience
  • Proficient in DFMEA, DVP&R, PDP, change process (ODM/CN/CCD) tools and processes
  • Proficient in technical aspects of Chassis System Design including product development processes, change management tools and processes
  • Demonstrated team leadership abilities including the ability to set targets, evaluate/identify gaps to existing targets, and lead solution activity
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations and Stellantis plants to support project both domestically and internationally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office


Preferred Requirements:



  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt/Black Belt certification
  • Formal training/experience in problem solving (ex: Shainin), quality and reliability
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple organizations, including leading cross functional engineering teams
  • Experience with suspension, steering, braking, powertrain mounts, frames, vehicle dynamics, and chassis controls.
  • Experience with Stellantis releasing system
