What to Expect
This roleownsend-to-end planning, coordination, and execution support formaintenancework, capital and safety projects, and shutdown activity-ensuring the right work happens at the right time, with the right parts, documentation, and budget discipline. You sit at the intersection of Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Procurement, EHS, and vendors-translating priorities into executable plans, driving work to closure, and building processes that keep a high-volume manufacturing environment safe, efficient, and audit-ready. Scope covers Production Control Maintenance Team operations supporting 40+ technicians across Electrical, Automation, and related crafts.
What You'll Do
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule daily, weekend, and shutdown work for Electrical and Automation technicians, sequencing activity around production windows to minimize UPH impact
- Evaluate work requests, inspections, and PM findings; create and release work orders with parts, tools, labor estimates, and clear scope-including follow-up from failures and root-cause analysis
- Partner with leads to balance projects, PMs, and reactive work against staffing, including decisions on what to defer when labor is constrained
- Own holiday and major shutdown packages end-to-end: scope, parts, vendor support, cross-team communication, and execution readiness for large technician crews
- Own budget tracking against team budget code(s); create and manage purchase orders and returns, source and organize quotes, and resolvepurchasingissues with Procurement and vendors
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, EHS, and vendors on priority repairs, installs, and safety/infrastructure projects; brief leadership on PM/work-order health, project status, and priorities
- Build andmaintainPM documentation, SOPs, and team standards; promote disciplined CMMS use and audit work/PM execution for accuracy and consistency across shifts and crafts
- Drive closure of EHS tickets and corrective actions; support onboarding, mentoring, and development of leads and technicians. Flexibility for off-shifts, nights, and weekends as needed
What You'll Bring
- High degree of safety consciousness and active engagement with EHS processes and corrective actions
- Degree in management, engineering, operations, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, equipment repair, planning/coordination, or operations)
- Proven ability to plan and coordinate maintenance and project work for multi-craft technician teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong ownership mindset-drive work end-to-end from intake through execution and closure with minimal follow-up
- Comfort managing budgets, purchase orders, returns, and vendor quote packages; ability to partner effectively with Procurement
- Excellent cross-functional communication-align leads, Engineering, Production, and vendors around clear priorities and timelines
- Proficiencyin Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/Teams) and familiarity with CMMS/maintenance data systems andpurchasing/procurement systems
- Abilityto create clear documentation (SOPs, PM standards, trackers) others can follow; open-minded self-starterwho spots process gaps and drives improvement
