Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst - Film FP&A is responsible for supporting the financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis of film projects throughout their lifecycle. This role maintains film financial models, updates forecasts and ultimates, analyzes risks and opportunities, and supports budgeting and long-range planning. The position works closely with Accounting, Distribution, Business Affairs, Marketing, Licensing, and other finance teams to provide accurate financial analysis and support business decisions.

Job Responsibilities



  • Own and maintain financial models for film projects from greenlight through the film's lifecycle.
  • Partner with distribution groups to maintain and update film ultimates and reconcile financial information with third-party deals.
  • Consolidate film slate financials and prepare ad hoc financial and performance analyses.
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities and evaluate their potential impact on film slate performance.
  • Support the annual budget and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Partner with Accounting and financial systems teams to facilitate monthly and quarterly close activities.
  • Collaborate with Business Affairs, theatrical distribution, marketing, transactional, television licensing, and other finance teams.
  • Monitor market trends and update financial assumptions to maintain accurate projections.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and presentations for management.
  • Support special projects and other financial analysis as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Three to five years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling experience with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels and across multiple functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Hyperion experience preferred.
  • FP&A experience preferred.
  • Film finance and ultimates experience strongly preferred.
  • Entertainment or media industry experience strongly preferred.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
