Position Title: Specimen Processor

Location: Dublin, OH 43017

Duration: 3 months - Contract to Possible Hire

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday | 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM | Full-Time

Shift Differential: 15% applies after start date


Job Description

The primary function of the Specimen Processor is to support laboratory operations by performing specimen sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This position will be responsible for accurately processing and organizing specimens while maintaining quality and attention to detail.


Responsibilities


  • Sort and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.



  • Perform data entry related to specimen processing and laboratory testing.



  • Organize and prepare specimens for further laboratory processing.



  • Ensure accurate handling and identification of specimens.



  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen processing.



  • Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols.



  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.



  • Collaborate with team members to support daily laboratory operations.



  • Provide support for additional laboratory tasks as assigned.



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.



  • May work overtime based on business needs.




Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED.



  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.



  • Strong data entry skills.



  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.



  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.



  • Good organizational and time-management skills.



  • Ability to follow established procedures and instructions.




Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous laboratory or healthcare experience.



  • Previous specimen processing experience.



  • Experience with data entry or clerical work.



  • Familiarity with laboratory workflows and procedures.




Additional Information


  • Full-time contract position with possible conversion to a permanent LabCorp position based on performance and business needs.



  • No travel required.



  • Possible overtime may be required.



  • Fast-paced laboratory environment requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork.



  • Candidates should be comfortable with the potential for conversion to a permanent position.
