Description
About The Role The Spare Parts Sourcing & Inventory Planner is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, inventory planning, and supplier management to ensure spare parts, finished goods, sub-assemblies, and field replacement units (FRUs) are available to support business and service needs. This role develops and manages demand forecasts, supports the Service Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, monitors inventory levels, negotiates with suppliers, and drives cost, quality, and delivery improvements. Working closely with Service, Production Planning, and suppliers, the Planner helps optimize inventory availability, forecast accuracy, procurement performance, and overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities include supplier relationship management, component sourcing, contract negotiation, inventory replenishment planning, procurement reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Location: Rock Hill, SC Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule available with a minimum of 3-4 days per week onsite. What's In It For You!

What You'll Do:
- Source and procure specialized products or services, ensuring they meet company quality standards and specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform purchasing decisions.
- Develop and manage planned inventory levels - using industry standard calculations for PFEP (Plan for Every Part) modeling - working closely with logistics to ensure timely delivery without overstocking.
- Develop / Maintain / Track forecasting mechanism used within Service S&OP
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all procurement activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: drive improvements in critical KPI's (Supplier OTD and Quality, Availability, Fulfillment, Adherence to Inventory POR and Forecast Accuracy) and contribute to cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the continuity of supply and quality.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Engineering, General Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
- 5-7+ years' experience in tactical procurement with an OEM or Contract Manufacturer OR 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain-focused analytics.
- Strong, concise communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to influence/persuade while working across various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and work in Cross-Functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented and organized and possess good problem-solving & analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills - TESTED.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and reduce procurement costs.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Previous knowledge or experience with REACH, ROHS, WEEE, CalProp 65, etc.
- PPAP experience (Production Part Approval Process) & After-Market or Service-related buying experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Oracle is preferred.
- Domestic and international supplier negotiations are a plus.
- Industrial experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
