POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to advance the Xformative's Quality Assurance (QA) practices, establishing standards, processes, and best practices that ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software. This role will help design and implement AI-assisted testing tools and approaches to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and coverage. The position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, performance, and load testing, to identify risks and ensure applications meet quality and performance expectations. Working closely with Software Development and Platform Engineering teams, this individual will integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle, continuously improve testing practices, and help build a scalable, efficient approach to software quality as the organization and its technology platforms grow. POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish, document, and continuously improve QA standards, processes, and best practices across Xformative's applications and platform.
- Design and implement AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.
- Participate in aspects of software quality assurance for Xformative's platform and applications.
- Triage, diagnose, report, track and resolve quality issues.
- Detailed test plan creation, test case development, test execution and results documentation.
- Assist with all aspects of functional, system, regression testing and UAT testing.
- Participate in performance and load testing, in addition to functional testing, to validate system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the development team and platform engineering team to align on test strategy, environment readiness, and release quality.
- Provide support to users regarding escalations and software.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- Own code coverage standards and the Coveralls (or equivalent) reporting/enforcement/notification pipeline in CI.
POSITIONAL COMPETENCIES:
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), regression, integration and performance automation tools, testing mobile applications, and security testing.
- Substantial Experience developing and executing manual and automated test suites.
- Substantial Experience with QA tools and techniques. Including but not limited to test suite software, automation tools, defect tracking systems, business requirement documentation systems, etc
- Substantial Experience taking requirements and creating test suites with the ability to see the bigger impact of systems changes across multiple systems.
- Experience testing integrated environments and troubleshooting across an integrated platform.
- Experience designing, building, or implementing AI-assisted tools, scripts, or workflows to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies to validate system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with development and platform engineering teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
- Experience measuring, reporting, and alerting on coverage regressions.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role within the technology sector.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- 5 or more years of software testing / quality assurance.
- Fintech experience preferred, or equivalent experience with regulated environments with compliance requirements (e.g., SOC2, PCI DSS)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Github Actions preferred)
- Experience working with AWS and its managed products (AWS Lambda, ECS, SNS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon CloudWatch)
- Familiarity with control plane architecture, supporting multiple AWS accounts and organizations.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies.
- Experience leveraging AI tools or scripting to build or enhance test automation and QA workflows required.
- Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation for security incidents
- Coveralls (or equivalent) + GitHub Actions coverage gates preferred.
