Industrial Engineer

Our Industrial Engineers are responsible for designing, optimizing, and continuously improving distribution network operations across Lippert's aftermarket business. This role supports multiple major distribution centers and plays a critical role in evaluating, planning, and integrating new facilities associated with growth initiatives, acquisitions, and mergers. They leverage data analysis, facility design, process improvement methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational efficiency, scalability, safety, and customer service excellence throughout the distribution network.

This position serves as a strategic partner to distribution leadership and works closely with operations, supply chain, transportation, finance, IT, and integration teams to develop and implement innovative distribution solutions that support long-term business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze the Value Stream Map at each Distribution Center in the network, develop standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement while keeping safety front and center.
  • Determine the cost-per-unit at each step in the value stream.
  • Lead Kaizen events with local leadership teams to promote productivity improvements and eliminate waste within the operation. Standardize network operations.
  • Develop, measure, and analyze productivity KPI's. Recommend process, equipment, and human capital improvements.
  • Support the implementation of Work Force Management.
  • Handle storage system design, quotes, and implementations at Distribution Centers.
  • Support Distribution Center startups and relocations.
  • Evaluate Material Handling Equipment needs and recommend improvements.
  • Lead efforts to automate Distribution Center Operations.
  • Adjacent project work as assigned by VP Operations.

Travel

Travel will be up to 50% of the role.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial engineering, distribution engineering, supply chain engineering, or logistics design experience.
  • Experience supporting warehouse or distribution center operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through implementation.
