Job Summary In accordance with established policies, procedures, and study protocols, this position provides support for clinical research studies. Responsibilities include recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy and EKGs; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Additionally, the role involves assessing study subject suitability and contributing to recruitment strategies. Tasks also include data analysis, interpretation, quality assurance and control (QA/QC), and assisting in the completion of reports and presentations.Does this position require patient care? No Essential Functions - Assists in determining the suitability of study subjects and acts as a resource for patients and their families. - Contributes to recruitment strategies and may provide input on protocol recommendations. - Administers assessments and evaluates study questionnaires. - Maintains research data, patient files, regulatory binders, and study databases. - Performs data analysis and QA/QC checks, organizing and interpreting data as needed. - Aids in preparation for annual reviews and assists the Principal Investigator in completing study reports and presentations. - May assist in training and orientation for new staff members.
