The Plant Financial Analyst provides financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with plant leadership to evaluate operating performance, develop forecasts, identify cost improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance with corporate financial requirements. The position offers valuable opportunities to develop technical, analytical, and leadership skills while gaining broad exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial results, forecasts, and key performance indicators; communicate insights and recommendations to management
- Support the development and execution of Business Plans, Model Year Budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities
- Coordinate with corporate finance teams to meet reporting requirements, deadlines, and financial objectives
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with special projects, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting requests as needed
What You Will Learn:
- Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and support compliance with internal control requirements
- Prepare accurate and timely month-end close reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Manage recurring financial processes, including overtime reporting, manpower allocations, labor analysis, and other operational reporting requirements
- Utilize financial systems and reporting tools, including SAP, Essbase, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications, to support business operations and reporting needs
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Understanding of fundamental finance and accounting principles
- Ability to learn and apply budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and month-end close processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced business degree
- 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including internships or co-op assignments
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion Essbase, Power BI, Snowflake, or other financial reporting and analytics platforms
- Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cost accounting, operational performance reporting, and manufacturing finance concepts
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
