Position Summary:This Compliance Specialist I is responsible for ensuring the company's operations adhere to Federal Firearms regulations. This role requires 1-3 years of professional work experience in a role requiring a high level of detail. The Compliance Specialist I involves a wide range of tasks within the Compliance and Legal Group, requiring meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This individual will collaborate with all and any manufacturing groups within the company, Sales (inside/external), Customer Service, Engineering, Management, Shipping, Warehouse, outside vendors, ATF, and LE Agencies

FLSA: Non-exempt

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

*Manage and review compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy in all submissions and records.
*Perform daily National Firearms Association (NFA) reservations and electronic manufacturing reports. Complete and submit necessary NFA forms.
*Manage open orders and allocations related to NFA.
*Conduct daily Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) traces and manage NFA cycle counts.
*Update current customer Federal Firearm Licenses (FFLs) in Oracle and Agile.
*Support Sales and Shipping with order holds and shipments.
*Ensure daily put away, picking, and shipments are completed.
*Process receipt transactions on the same day received.
*Assist in correcting serial number and account discrepancies.
*Assist with daily cycle counting.
*Demonstrate the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions for compliance-related challenges.
*Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
*Participate in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
*Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
*Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; and 1-3 years of professional work experience in a role requiring a high level of detail.
  • Basic firearm actions and types. NFA vs GCA weapons and ATF requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, experience working with Oracle and an internal inventory system is preferred.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies, both verbally and in written form.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting deadlines, especially in a fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
