The Traffic Attendant maintains the flow of traffic in a safe and efficient manner while utilizing hang signals or other methods of communication to direct vehicle activity and promote a safe environment. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Completed a Flagging Certification Course preferred. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Recertified every 2 (two) years per certification Experience REQUIRED: N/A Experience PREFERRED: One (1) year previous experience working as a flagger Education/training REQUIRED: N/A Education/training PREFERRED: N/A Independent action(s) required: Must be able to conduct traffic control with little or no supervision during the course of a day Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Expected to work in all types of weather Age Specific groups served: N/A Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical: Lifting 20-50 lbs.
