Description Our Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a full-time Intake Coordinator to join our Neuromodulation Division. The Neuromodulation Division is leader in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other innovative neuromodulation therapies for mood disorders and chronic pain. Our team combines cutting-edge research with exceptional patient care to deliver the latest evidence-based treatments.
The Intake Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for prospective patients and referring providers, ensuring a positive patient experience from initial inquiry through treatment scheduling. Key responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families seeking neuromodulation services
  • Conduct intake calls and gather patient, insurance, and clinical information
  • Schedule and coordinate new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibly and obtain authorizations as needed
  • Address patient questions, concerns, and barriers to accessing care
  • Coordinate with physicians, clinical staff, and referring providers to facilitate patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation with the electronic health record system
  • Track referral, scheduling, and clinic performance metrics
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance patient access and satisfaction
Salary range: $35.47/hr - $48.82/hr
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Psychology, or related filed or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in patient access, healthcare administration, medical scheduling, care coordination, or a related healthcare setting
Experience working in behavioral health, psychiatry, neurology, pain management, or other specialty healthcare settings (preferred)
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations
Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document, review, and manage patient information
Knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities, regulatory standards, and healthcare compliance requirements
Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referral management (preferred)
Knowledge of data collection, reporting, and performance metrics (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
