Job Summary

The Director of Outside Plant Operations is responsible through Network Performance for the efficient and effective delivery of Products and Services to Customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the Platform of Choice with oversight of all activities relating to the HFC and Fiber Networks (both Upstream and Downstream), Network WiFi Installation and Support Maintenance, Outage Restoration, Scheduled Plant Maintenance, Federal, State, and Local Compliance and FCC proofs including CLI Measurement, Detection and Repair. This position is responsible for a 24x7 Operation which is required to perform when needed in adverse conditions. The Director of Outside Plant Operations is accountable for actively managing Operating and Capital Costs while achieving specific Service, Performance and Project Targets.

Responsibilities

* Oversee the entirety of OSP Operations within the region.
* Lead the reliability and performance of the HFC and FTTH outside plant infrastructure, including nodes, amplifiers,power supplies, fiber distribution networks, and related field assets.
* Oversee outage response and restoration efforts for large-scale service interruptions, coordinating cross-functional teams to minimize customer impact and restore services within established targets.
* Responsible for the Regional KPI compliance, develops and implements processes to improve negative trends.
* Ensure compliance with FCC regulations, industry standards, and company requirements related to signal leakage, CLI performance, utility attachments, construction practices, and network documentation.
* Utilize network performance analytics, trouble call trends, and chronic area reporting to identify root causes, improve reliability, and drive continuous improvement across the outside plant network.
* Provide leadership during emergency events, severe weather incidents, and disaster recovery operations, ensuring 24x7 readiness and execution of restoration plans.
* Work with business leaders to identify high priority projects, acquire necessary resources and ensure decision making is aligned with strategic and business objectives.
* Responsible for career architecture development, support, and performance management for all outside plant team members in the region.
* Develops and maintains successful relationships with internal and external business units.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years management experience, with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility within the organization
  • At least 5 years of experience managing in an HFC/Fiber Network
  • Proven successful experience in launching new products and services in the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and leadership
  • Undergraduate degree and or NCTI Certification desired

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing within the state of current residence

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $141,372.00-$201,960.00/ year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
