What You'll Do:

As an Environmental Manager / Engineer, you will be responsible for developing material mass balances for a new processes to support emissions inventories, waste minimization, and process optimization. You will develop and lead Title V air permitting activities, including emissions calculations, permit modifications, deviation reporting, and regulatory reviews. Other duties include:

  • Manage NPDES wastewater discharge compliance, including sampling plans, DMR reporting, stormwater program oversight, and corrective action development.
  • Oversee industrial sewer discharge permits, ensuring compliance with pretreatment standards, local limits, and surcharge programs.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact during regulatory inspections, audits, and agency communications (EPA, state environmental agencies, POTWs).
  • Conduct rootcause investigations for discrepancies in chemical usage, emissions, or waste generation.
  • Support process changes, new equipment installations, and chemical substitutions to ensure environmental compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical oversight for onsite water and wastewater treatment systems, including chemical dosing, filtration, sludge handling, and biological treatment (if applicable).
  • Optimize treatment performance to improve effluent quality, reduce operating costs, and maintain permit compliance.
  • Prepare and review environmental reports including TRI, Tier II, emissions inventories, DMRs, and internal KPIs.
  • Ensure accuracy and defensibility of environmental calculations, sampling data, and documentation.
  • Mentor process engineers and environmental specialists; provide training on environmental regulations and process systems.
  • Serve as the site environmental leader following commissioning, maintaining ongoing compliance with all applicable environmental permits, regulations, and company standards.
  • After commissioning, this role transitions into a long-term site environmental leadership position, with responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving the environmental performance of the operating TNT facility.

We're Looking For:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar field preferred
  • 5+ years of environmental engineering in industrial, chemical manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience with Title V, NPDES, and LDAR, industrial pretreatment, and environmental reporting programs
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in mass balance development, emissions calculations, and process modeling.
  • Working knowledge of water/wastewater treatment systems and pollution control technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Experience with RCRA hazardous waste programs, emergency planning and Clean Air and Clean Water Act preferred
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
