At FNBO, our employees are the heart of our story-and we're committed to their success! Please see below the details of this career opportunity and how it fits into our organization's success. Summary of the Job: They will influence and build the scaffolding of the business infrastructure for large, complex syndicated loans. This role will equip the business with a playbook to successfully ensure the business establishes guardrails and guidelines in its syndicated lending activities. They will own and orchestrate the end-to-end closing cycle through ensuring readiness across internal and external parties and be responsible for transaction execution. They will troubleshoot complex problems and resolve syndicated loan issues across upstream and downstream clients. This role will also be the subject matter expert on how to continuously improve the documentation and processes to standardize and improve how the work gets done by arranging, closing, and servicing FNBO's participated and syndicated credit facilities. Success in this role requires a strong command of legal frameworks, financial underwriting, and loan operations, paired with the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external bank partners. About This Role: 1. Serve as an end-to-end owner of the syndication and participation process for large, complex multi-bank credit facilities. This role will manage the confidential information memorandums (CIMs), term sheets, and approval materials, while orchestrating in-person bank group meetings and coordinating multi-bank loan closings from initiation through execution. Beyond transaction management, this role actively monitors deal pipelines and timelines, troubleshoots complex issues across upstream and downstream banks, and serves as a subject matter expert in continuously improving the documentation, processes, and operational standards that govern how syndicated and participated credit facilities are arranged, closed, and serviced. 2. Develop and maintain comprehensive policy and procedural documentation of best practices for efficient and accurate syndicated lending activities, translating complex workflows, system requirements and transaction processes into clear accurate, and actionable procedures, guides, and reference materials. This role will influence the policy and procedures of FNBO's multi-bank (upstream and downstream) relationships. 3. Recommend continuous improvement opportunities for effective syndicated lending processes by analyzing current workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities for standardization, documenting improved processes and partnering with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions. Utilize data to understand customer relationships to gain insight on how to serve them better. 4. Serve as a subject-matter middle office client service resource to diagnose, investigate, and resolve issues across the syndicated loan life cycle partnering closely with multiple internal enterprise teams (relationship managers, credit, loan servicing teams) and external partners (legal firms) providing guidance using knowledge of loan structures, transaction terms, processes, and downstream impacts to recommend appropriate solutions. 5. Apply specialized knowledge and system expertise of nCino, Precision Lender, Foundation, and SMK to prepare, execute, and validate complex loan transactions including working with RMs on running loan pricing, funding wires, loan memos and related documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to established requirements for Financial Institutions' clients. 6. Own, orchestrate, and deliver an end-to-end syndicated deals closing process to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are prepared with all transaction requirements using specialized lending knowledge, system expertise and judgment to execute a series of complex interdependent activities. Ensure closing readiness in advance of transaction execution by anticipating requirements, identifying dependencies and gaps, coordinating responsible parties to ensure all critical details are accurately captured, validated, and completed across multiple platforms. This will include the execution of signatures, letters of commitment, opinion letters, funding requirements and other closing documentation necessary to successfully close.
