About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder II to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will perform core welding work, ensure precision welding of aerospace components, and adhere to strict quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Location: Stuart, FL - Onsite. Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM (10% Shift Differential).

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and perform all fusion welding operations in the facility, both manual and automatic within the limits of certifications in accordance with the current methods and process sheets
  • Check welds visually and dimensionally with precision measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications
  • Conduct specified fusion welding tests
  • Assign jobs according to priority list
  • Have a working knowledge of welding practice and weld-ability of current metal groups within their certifications
  • Ability to weld on various alloys including but not limited to stainless steel, nickel, and titanium
  • Recommend tooling and fixturing design for complex weldments
  • Ability to complete fillet and groove welds in multiple different positions
  • Ability to perform light sheet metal work including fit up and correction that is directly related to welding
  • Able to read and interpret prints involving weld symbols
  • Demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training/certification in welding
  • Required to carry current certification in all current metal groups and qualify for automatic welding in those metal groups
  • Required to meet the specified quality standards of aircraft welding
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis, without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of GTAW (TIG) specific work experience
  • Able to perform all of the specified welding tests
  • Work experience in the aerospace industry
  • Training and/or certification in visual weld inspection
  • Capable of qualifying on automatic welding machines in at least one metals group
  • Have complete knowledge of welding practices and weld ability of current manual and automatic welding groups

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Must be able to pass an eye exam on an annual basis.
