Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for the preparation and facilitation of educational programs for associates through the following communication methods: in person, online, webinar and video. Topics include customer service, product knowledge, sales, regulatory, corporate initiatives, role specific training as well as computer training and other topics. Implement strategies to validate successful adoption of skills and knowledge of training presentations. Will train and educate current and new Learning and Development team members on delivery techniques that align with instructional design.

Job Duties: Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specific area of the bank

  • Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives
  • Formulates training agendas and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training or group instruction
  • Select, develop and create training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
  • Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs; utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods
  • Assists in analyzing and assessing training to develop the needs for individuals and/groups
  • Answer phone calls and questions to support continued training needs
  • Develop and update written procedures.
  • Work on detailed projects, lead discussions, and conduct further training for associates regarding the role
  • Establish strong time management to balance training responsibilities along with new project initiatives
  • Perform detailed administration to the learning management system including reporting and robust creation content
  • Continuously pursue new ways to create training to keep audience engaged to learn new information
  • Providing guidance and support to other training staff, including new trainers, on instructional design and delivery techniques.
  • Implementing strategies to ensure successful adoption of new skills and knowledge acquired through training for changes.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.

Normal hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, some evening and weekend hours will be required based on projects and needs for training.

Education, Experience and Job Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of an associate's degree with three to five or more years banking experience
  • Ability to work with multiple individuals within the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail
  • Proven team player
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time to meet deadlines
  • Positive and professional attitude in an open, team environment
  • Will work in client facing environments on periodic basis
  • Up to 50% travel required for the position
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
