DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Effectiveness (CE) Specialist partners with health system leaders, physicians, clinicians, and service line teams to improve patient care delivery, reduce length of stay, and optimize patient throughput. The CE Specialist uses extensive knowledge of quality data analysis and improvement (QI) concepts, methodologies, and data collection and abstraction techniques, including DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma, to analyze clinical workflows, identify opportunities to reduce variation, and develop standardized processes across service lines.

The CE Specialist leads and supports improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation and evaluation. This includes conducting Gemba analyses, developing and interpreting quality and patient safety data, creating reports for data analysis and discussion dashboards, facilitating service line workgroups, and using collaborating with our Population Health Analysts and Epic Team for development of Epic tools such as Care Paths and Order Sets to support standardized care. The Specialist monitors key performance indicators and works with stakeholders to ensure improvements are measurable, sustainable, and integrated into daily practice.

As part of a growing enterprise-wide team, the CE Specialist will have the opportunity to take ownership of assigned service lines and improvement priorities while partnering with leaders and multidisciplinary teams to drive meaningful improvements in care delivery.
