The Cyber Security & Identity Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to critical initiatives that help protect Koch's digital environment while supporting the technologies that enable secure access for employees, applications, and devices.

This 12-week internship running from May to August 2027 is designed for students who are interested in cybersecurity, identity and access management (IAM), authentication technologies, risk reduction, and enterprise technology. Interns will work on meaningful projects, partner with experienced technology professionals, and gain exposure to real-world security and identity challenges that impact a global organization

Our teams support modern technologies including identity governance, authentication, privileged access management, access security, and cyber defense capabilities while continuously evolving to meet emerging business and security needs. What You Will Do

  • Partner with Cyber Security and Identity team members to support initiatives that improve Koch's security posture
  • Assist with the analysis of security alerts, vulnerabilities, access requests, and risk mitigation activities
  • Support the administration, configuration, and documentation of identity and access management solutions
  • Contribute to projects involving authentication, multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, privileged access, and access governance technologies
  • Participate in evaluating and improving security controls, processes, and user experiences
  • Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and documentation that communicate project progress and business value
  • Collaborate with customers, product teams, and other technology capabilities to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Use problem-solving and analytical thinking to investigate issues and recommend improvements
  • Learn and apply cybersecurity and identity best practices while working on meaningful business initiatives
  • Present project outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations to business and technology stakeholders

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to: Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field with at least one term or semester before graduating
  • Eligible for full-time employment by June 2028
  • Knowledge or interest in learning computer systems, networking concepts, operating systems, or cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and passion for learning emerging technologies
  • Exposure, projects or prior internships related to cybersecurity concepts such as vulnerability management, security monitoring, risk management, incident response, or security operations
  • Exposure to identity and access management concepts, including authentication, authorization, multi-factor authentication, or single sign-on
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise identity platforms, or security technologies through coursework, certifications, labs, or personal projects
