$4,001.64 to $4,401.80 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/South Central Water Reclamation Plant/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs skilled professional work planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the activities of the SCADA Engineering program supporting Utility Services operations. Work includes establishing engineering priorities and strategic initiatives; overseeing the design, development, implementation, integration, and long-range planning of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems; and ensuring alignment of SCADA technologies with operational and organizational objectives. Incumbents exercise considerable independent judgment in the administration of the SCADA program and are responsible for establishing engineering standards, technology strategies, and program goals. Supervision is given to professional and technical staff.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS six (6) years of experience in SCADA control systems analysis, PLC and control system programming, SCADA communications, or SCADA control systems administration, which includes three (3) years of experience supporting water and wastewater treatment processes and the application of SCADA systems in utility operations. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or manmade disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
