GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Maintenance Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the maintenance parts room and ensuring accurate control, storage, and distribution of parts, materials, tools, and supplies that support maintenance operations. This position maintains inventory accuracy, coordinates the receipt and issuance of parts, assists maintenance personnel in locating required materials, and works with vendors to ensure timely availability of parts. The Maintenance Parts Coordinator also supports asset tracking, maintains inventory records within the company's inventory management system, and performs administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient maintenance room.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.

  • Perform routine physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of parts, materials, and supplies for accuracy and completeness.

  • Issue, receive, return, and process parts and tool using the company's inventory management system.

  • Assist maintenance technicians and mechanics in identifying and locating parts required for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding the receipt, availability, and distribution of parts and supplies.

  • Support asset management programs by maintaining accurate records of company equipment, tools, and inventory.

  • Maintain inventory documentation and perform light clerical and data entry responsibilities as required.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to ensure adequate stock availability.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and housekeeping standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, organization, and operational efficiency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support maintenance and plant operations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • One to two years related experience and/or training

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • This position works in both a manufacturing and warehouse environment and requires regular walking, standing, bending, lifting, and handling of parts, materials, and equipment.
  • The employee must follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
