Duties in this Internship will include:

Assist with National Injury Prevention Day:



  • Create handouts, flyers, and promotional messages about the National Injury Prevention Day Safety Fair in the hospital. Organize, and assemble educational packets, displays, and order/stock giveaway items.
  • Assist with program evaluation of National Injury Prevention Day Safety Fair attendance and participation.
  • Help set up interactive display tables and demonstrations the day of the event.
  • Coordinate with facilities managers green lighting for National Injury Prevention Day.
  • Draft a schedule of social media posts leading up to the event utilizing the official National Injury Prevention Day campaign themes (such as highlighting motor vehicle safety, poison control, or drowning prevention).


  • Assist with the design and creation of an "Every Helmet for Every Activity" display to educate kids and families on proper helmet safety and usage across various sports and recreational activities. Set up and implement the targeted display during NIPD events or alternate locations.
  • Draft email communications to local schools to nominate a Youth Safety Superhero to the National Injury Prevention Day Media Contest (Trauma Center Association of America).



Provide other assistance as needed throughout the internship.
