Job Summary

This position is for second shift from 5:00 pm until 3:30 am Monday-Thursday with potential for overtime on Fridays.

Join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of products throughout the manufacturing process. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will perform inspections, laboratory testing, raw material reviews, and food safety activities that support both production excellence and regulatory compliance. This role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally, and making a direct impact on product quality and consumer safety.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Manufacturing Quality Support (60%)



  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and production requirements.
  • Partner with production teams to investigate quality concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Conduct product and equipment inspections, maintain quality records, and prepare daily quality reports.
  • Support product hold and release activities using SAP.


Raw Material Review & Release (10%)



  • Inspect incoming materials and packaging for compliance with specifications.
  • Review supplier documentation and certifications.
  • Perform measurements using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and scales.
  • Assist with supplier corrective actions and raw material release processes.


Laboratory Testing (20%)



  • Perform in-process laboratory testing using equipment such as pH meters, viscometers, refractometers, and other analytical instruments.
  • Follow established SOPs to support manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct batch release activities and verify products meet required specifications.


Food Safety & Continuous Improvement (10%)



  • Support cGMP compliance through internal audits and food safety initiatives.
  • Assist with equipment calibration and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Perform routine sampling and swabbing activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality, safety, and operational excellence.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and food safety.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably FDA-regulated manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, specification interpretation, or quality tools is a plus.

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and lab environment.
