Your Job

Georgia-Pacific's Green Bay Broadway Mill is seeking a Learning & Development Leader to help build workforce capability and support operational excellence across our Paper, Secondary Fiber, and Utilities departments. This role is responsible for developing and executing learning and development strategies that enhance employee performance, support safe operations, and strengthen workforce capabilities. As a key member of the department leadership team, you will lead the mill's skill development process while driving continuous improvement in onboarding, training, qualification, and certification programs.


Our Team

The continuous operations team consists of more than 250 manufacturing employees who produce tissue, towel, and napkin products. The operation includes three boilers, two turbines, a wastewater treatment plant, three secondary fiber systems, and eight paper machines. This role plays a critical part in developing workforce capability and supporting safe, reliable, and efficient mill operations.


What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of five Skill Builders supporting multiple mill departments
  • Drive onboarding, training, qualification, and certification programs that build workforce capability
  • Partner with Operations Leaders, Team Coaches/Supervisors, and Performance Leaders to improve learning and development processes
  • Support the facility safety vision through effective training and knowledge-sharing systems
  • Develop standardized training, qualification, and reporting processes across the mill
  • Validate training effectiveness and ensure employees can successfully apply learned skills
  • Serve as the Learning Management System (LMS) administrator and oversee compliance and required training
  • Maintain training resources, SharePoint-based knowledge systems, and development materials

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience utilizing learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning tools, or video-based training platforms
  • Experience developing, coordinating, or delivering employee training programs
  • Experience leading projects, initiatives, or people within an operational or manufacturing environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools or digital technologies to improve learning, knowledge management, training effectiveness, or operational efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Training & Development, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience leading training, workforce development, or adult learning programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and knowledge management platforms such as SharePoint
