About This Position

The Milwaukee Dietitian will support Milwaukee County Corrections. You will partner with client/client medical departments within assigned county facilities. You will provide field support to the Milwaukee facilities and training to operations, managing types and numbers of diets. You will support Trinity Services Group (TSG) operational and sales team members, working with clients, staff and co-workers throughout TSG.

You will work onsite. You will report to the District Director.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Regional Dietician to provide county client contact following contract with updated nutritional analysis, service menus, and diet reports for their facilities audit requirements.
  • Ensure all Milwaukee facilities comply with specified regulatory agencies ( ACA, JCAHO, NCCHC, ICE, BOP)
  • Participate in audit readiness plans, through reviews of facilities, providing Plans of Action upon completion.
  • Complete TSG Dietitian Audit, reviewing diet practices, client concerns, excessive diets.
  • Consult with and maintain open relationship with Client Medical Providers.
  • Schedule, present and implement employee training for diet/religious diet cooks.
  • Implement corrective actions.
  • Daily responsibilities will also include maintaining quality assurance policies throughout the production processes, including analytical testing of products and record keeping.
  • Develop and implement nutritional, health, wellness, and knowledge enrichment training programs to TSG staff, MKE inmate workers, residents, and county staff, as deemed by leadership.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Nutrition or Dietetics; Registered Dietitian through The Commission on Dietetic Registration; membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, or license eligible for the specific states of responsibility.
  • We prefer experience in food service administration with at least three (3) years' experience in clinical dietetics.
  • Knowledge of basic work area operations and procedures (correctional facility kitchen and provision of correctional medical and religious diets).
  • Can communicate through both oral and written forms.
  • Use standard Microsoft Office products and Outlook.
