Neonatologist

UW Health Northern Illinois seeks an experienced Neonatologist to join our 32-bed Level III NICU team in the Women's & Children's Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.

Our Level III NICU is staffed 24/7 by a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, who are part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers providing excellent and cost-effective care to our smallest patients.

In this autonomous position, you will enjoy a practice which includes rounding to discuss and establish plan of care; performance of invasive procedures, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.

Your clinical support includes:

  • Team of 7 neonatologists and 4 NNPs.

  • Over a dozen pediatric sub-specialists from UW Health are in this beautiful facility and are available for consultation and collaboration.

  • MFM collaboration and 24-hour in-house OB hospitalist

Compensation and Benefits

UW Health Northern Illinois offers a highly competitive compensation package, including:

Salary Range: $366,579 - $437,849 (based on experience)

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO; BC or BE in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine
  • Active Illinois medical license and DEA license, or ability to secure these prior to hire.
