We are seeking a Test Engineer for the Stock Control System (SCS) Cloud Environment. Candidate will provide testing support having the responsibilities and performing the tasks as described below. The candidate will be part of a SME team and part of the broader PMO team consisting of Government personnel, developer/sustainer/system integrator, and other support contractors as well as other stakeholders from multiple organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases based on specifications from the development team.
  • Execute various types of testing such as system, regression, load, and acceptance testing.
  • Identify, analyze, and document software defects.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues.
  • Generate reports on test results and provide feedback to project teams.
  • Monitor the performance of the system to ensure that it meets the user's requirements.
  • Ensure that the final product can be used in its operational environment effectively.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Update test scripts based on bugs and changes/upgrades in the system.
  • Maintain and upgrade test environments as needed.
  • Help coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide functional knowledge for USAF logistics systems (depot maintenance/supply) implementation of system requirements.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Successfully complete a T1 Public Trust background check or higher.
  • Ability to be trained" to review and understand application source code written in any of the following - JAVA, JAVA Script, PYTHON, and SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Customers as well as other delivery teams involved in the problem resolution process.
  • Ability to drive results in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a high stress and changing environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence.
  • Agile trained and/or certified.
  • Experience with Business and Enterprise System (BES) Directorate's lifecycle management process in an agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of USAF Logistics Systems. i.e. Stock Control System (SCS/D035).

  • Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and specialists.
  • Work independently to accomplish tasks and lead small teams if required.
