About the Job

Adjunct Assistant Faculty in the School of Dentistry's Comprehensive Care Clinic faculty are responsible to oversee, teach and direct pre-doctoral students in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment and management of dental patients.

They support Group Leaders in evaluating the clinical and professional development of students. They must be proficient to teach, demonstrate, and assess general practice-level procedures in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics, and to assess and manage dental emergencies. They are expected to support all clinical policies and procedures of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

Please note that this is a 20% time position.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • DDS, DMD or equivalent degree
  • License to practice dentistry in Minnesota
  • In good standing with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
  • Five or more years' experience in the practice of general dentistry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical or preclinical teaching
  • Experience in a community outreach setting
  • AEGD or GPR certificate

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $8,456; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
