The USC Rossier School of Education seeks applicants for an open rank non-tenure track position. This is a Research, Teaching Clinical or Professional position (non-tenure track).

The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research and policy. We work to improve learning opportunities and outcomes in urban settings and to address disparities that affect historically marginalized groups. We teach our students to value and respect the cultural context of the communities in which they work and to interrogate the systems of power that shape policies and practices. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve the most intractable educational problems.

The Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (EDL) program prepares students to lead educational institutions at all levels including the management of public K-12 school systems, recruitment and retention of teachers, educational testing and psychology and administration of institutions of higher education. Taught by some of the most respected educational leaders in the field, the program is delivered both on campus and on-line. Faculty who are able deliver both on campus and online will be preferred.

A doctoral degree or other terminal degree is required, and preferred qualifications include a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Preference may be given to individuals with senior level experience such as a School District Superintendent 'Senior Executives in a Community College, College or University, a Charter Management CEO or an Independent School Head of School. Candidates with a background and demonstrated commitment to equity and improving opportunity and outcomes for historically underserved groups are especially desired.

The purpose of the EdD in Educational Leadership program is to build critically conscious leaders who can take actions to eliminate inequities that affect educational/learning opportunities and outcomes for children and adults in urban contexts.

The responsibilities of these RTCP positions include:
* Teaching courses in the EdD Educational Leadership (EDL) program to a diverse group of graduate students in residence and online.

* Supervision and support of graduate students in their research to complete their dissertations

* Participation as a faculty member in the K12 concentration to support the continued development, implementation and evaluation of courses in the EDL program, with particular emphasis on the K12 and higher education concentrations.

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
