Senior Bilingual Content Strategist (Senior Consultant, Experience & Design)

We are seeking a Senior Bilingual Content Strategist as part of our SeniorConsultant, Experience & Design career path to lead the translation, localization, and qualityassurance of Spanish-language content for state claimant and employer-facing digitalservices. This role is first and foremost responsible for ensuring that English content is

translated into clear, accurate, legally sound, and culturally appropriate Spanish. The idealcandidate understands that effective translation goes beyond language fluency-it requiresdeep knowledge of cultural nuance, plain language principles, and the ability to preservelegal and regulatory intent while making complex government information understandableto diverse Spanish-speaking audiences. This individual will also leverage content strategyexperience to improve content quality, collaborate with product and design teams, and help

establish scalable bilingual content workflows within an agile, human-centered designenvironment. This is a fully remote role.

At Fearless, the Senior Consultant combines expertise in Content Design, Content Strategy, Product Design, Service Design, User Research, and UX leadership.This role will possess the necessary skills at an advanced level of proficiency for setting the vision, strategy, and systems that guide cross-functional design teams in creating scalable, impactful, and user-centered solutions.The role requires a balance of strategic foresight, design mentorship, and hands-on expertise to deliver high-quality products and services that meet user, customer, and organizational needs.

Your Responsibilities in this Role:

*Lead the translation, localization, and quality assurance of English content intoSpanish for claimant and employer-facing digital experiences.

*Review and validate Spanish-language content to ensure translations are legallyaccurate, culturally appropriate, consistent with program terminology, and alignedwith plain language and accessibility standards.

*Translate and adapt user-facing content-including instructional text, workflows, helpcontent, notifications, and application guidance-while preserving the intent of theoriginal English source.

*Ensure legal, regulatory, and public benefits information is accurately represented inSpanish with no loss of meaning or ambiguity.

*Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Spanish-language content quality,partnering with stakeholders to resolve linguistic, cultural, and terminology questions.

*Review and refine machine-assisted translations produced through localization toolsto ensure they meet quality and accuracy standards.

*Partner with product managers, UX designers, content designers, and engineers tointegrate high-quality bilingual content into sprint delivery cycles.

*Contribute to content strategy by helping define content standards, governance, andreusable patterns that support scalable bilingual experiences.

*Conduct content audits and recommend improvements to clarity, consistency,accessibility, and user comprehension.

*Support metadata, information architecture, and content organization efforts whereappropriate to improve findability and maintainability.

*Participate in user research and content validation activities to ensure translatedcontent effectively serves Spanish-speaking users.

Work Experience

PROJECT SPECIFIC SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

*Minimum of 7 years of experience in content strategy, localization, translation, UXwriting, or content design supporting digital products or large-scale websites.

*Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Translation, Linguistics,Spanish, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

*Native or professional fluency in both Spanish and English with demonstratedexperience translating and localizing digital content for Spanish-speaking audiences.

*Extensive experience translating, reviewing, and validating Spanish-language contentinvolving legal, regulatory, public benefits, healthcare, financial, or governmentinformation, where accuracy is critical.

*Strong understanding of cultural and regional language differences withinSpanish-speaking audiences and the ability to make appropriate localizationdecisions.

*Demonstrated ability to preserve legal and regulatory intent while producing clear,plain-language translations that are accessible and easy to understand.

*Experience applying plain language principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), andhuman-centered design practices to bilingual digital content.

*Experience collaborating with cross-functional agile teams, including productmanagers, UX designers, engineers, and content stakeholders.

*Demonstrated content strategy experience, including content governance, contentmodeling, content audits, or information architecture, to support scalable contentoperations.

Preferred Experience

*Experience working with translation management or localization platforms (such asLocalize, Smartling, Phrase, Crowdin, or similar).

*Experience supporting government digital services, unemployment insurance,workforce development, or other public benefits programs.

*Experience reviewing or improving machine-assisted translations and establishinglocalization quality assurance processes.

*Familiarity with generative AI and translation technologies to improve localizationworkflows while maintaining human quality review.

*Google UX Design Certificate, Content Strategy for Professionals specialization, ATAcertification, or other professional translation or localization credentials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings, which may involve driving or flying.

The salary range for this position is:

Minimum Salary: $96,132

Salary Midpoint: $124,971

Maximum Salary: $162,462

Hiring Range for Role: $96,132 - $126,000

*This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
