We have continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives, creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a highly motivated and experienced CAD Technician to join our Aviation Planning group at our Lansing, MI office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing civil engineering design drawings, construction plans, and planning drawings related to airports.
  • Completing design calculations.
  • Collecting and reviewing data provided by teammates for inclusion in airport layout plans.
  • Developing sketches for inclusion in reports
  • Preparing record drawings utilizing as-built redlines and other construction record data.
  • Reviewing for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Maintaining company CAD standards.
  • Attending internal project meetings.
  • May visit project sites to evaluate progress.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license and approximately 5% travel will be required with occasional site visits.

Successful candidates must have the following:

  • Associate degree (or higher) in CAD, engineering, GIS, planning, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 2 years or relevant experience.

OR

  • If no degree, must have at least 4 years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:

  • CAD design software, Civil 3D, and/or Revit
  • ArcGIS software and analysis
  • Interest in aviation/airport development
  • Organizational skills
  • Working with team members in different offices
  • Microsoft Office Suite software
