Job Description

Wax Component Injector - 4th Shift

Location: Painesville, OH
Shift: 4th Shift | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Position Summary

is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Wax Component Injector to join our manufacturing team in Painesville, Ohio. In this role, you will produce high-quality wax patterns used in the investment casting process while ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and within established specifications.

The ideal candidate possesses manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This position partners closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to support operational excellence and achieve production goals.

Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing or production experience required.
  • Previous investment casting, foundry, or metal manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, manufacturing equipment, racks, tables, and inspection tools.
  • Experience working with measuring equipment, including calipers, height gauges, and bridge gauges.
  • Basic understanding of flow, pressure, viscosity, and other fluid dynamics concepts preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inject wax patterns, gates, and sprues using both light and heavy dies.
  • Operate wax injection presses and maintain appropriate wax levels in melting pots.
  • Inspect wax patterns, gating systems, and sprues to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Clean plugs and perform routine production-related maintenance activities.
  • Follow established work instructions, engineering procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support Engineering and Maintenance teams with troubleshooting, process improvements, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in engineering trials involving wax parameters, pins, cores, and other process variables.
  • Perform wax press calibration checks and support calibration activities.
  • Complete and document equipment inspections, including evaluations of seals, filters, oil levels, and overall machine condition.
  • Ensure engineering procedures and operating standards remain accurate and consistently followed.
  • Maintain organized work areas to maximize quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste in accordance with SDS requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
