What to Expect
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on maintenance and/or engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with expertise in a wide variety of technical subjects. They will also have a strong desire to help build and maintain a world class training program in a dynamic industry-defining organization. This subject matter expert will have a passion for teaching others and achieving excellence through instruction and mentoring programs.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate Instructor-Led Training (ILT), On-the-Job Training (OJT), large-group learning and workshops. Manage rosters, attendance, and certification tracking in Tesla's LMS
- Provide lineside training for Quality Operations across MY, CT, and CC to build and sustain inspection capability on the floor
- Reporttraining metrics such asworkforce readiness,participation, certification status, and seat hours
- Evaluatetraining effectiveness and operational KPIs
- Design and deliverInstructor-led courses,facilitator guides, learner guides, assessments, SOP-aligned job aids
- Apply Adult Learning Theory, Bloom's Taxonomy, and performance-based learning design to enhance content quality
- Collaborate with SMEs from Production, Quality, and Engineering to ensure technical accuracy
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical aptitude in manufacturing, assembly, repair, remanufacturing, or industrial maintenance
- Proven ability to learn complex technical processes quickly and teach them accurately to others
- Experience building or improving training curriculum, standard work, or job instruction (formal trainer role preferred)
- Comfort teaching teardown, assembly, or repair-type work with tools, fixtures, and work instructions
- Familiarity with basic root cause methods (e.g., 5-Why) and coaching them at technician level
- Clear communication in a classroom and one-on-one on the floor; high bar on safety and sign-off standards
- Self-directed, organized, and credible with technicians and engineers in a fast-paced production environment
