Primary Purpose:

TowneBank is a relationship and friendship driven local bank focused on basic human values that will serve to create a warm sense of belonging and financial well-being among our family of members. We are seeking a Loan Services Flood Compliance Specialist to assist in the protection and validation of Flood Insurance for Towne Bank Loans.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $45,250-$57,500, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Assist with pulling daily flood monitoring expired report


  • Assist in the daily review of the flood insurance approval process


  • Assist with the daily monitoring of the Core Logic Flood Determination Report


  • Assist with flood map changes and submitted by the bank's vendor from time to time


  • Assist with the weekly Flood Insurance Report for new loans booked and verify information on core system


  • Required to work with insurance companies and provide updates to mortgagee clause, loan number and request updated policies when applicable.


  • Send member communication with regards to expired or cancelled policies


  • Assist loan officers and their assistants with questions regarding their members flood insurance policies


  • May assist with internal and external department audits


  • Review all flood insurance mail and update Flood Tracking on core system


  • Assist with the BPI- LCA Flood Review workflow


  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).


  • Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:



  • High School graduate or equivalent or compensating work experience in a financial institution for 2-3 years


  • Must be efficient, thorough, and work well on your own and with co-workers


  • Must possess a willingness to help others at any time


  • Strong written and oral communication skills are a must when talking or emailing


  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure to meet deadlines


  • Must have some knowledge and experience with loan documentation


  • Computer experience (Word and Excel)



Desired Skills & Competencies:



  • Experience using Baker Hill Advisor, FIS Insight, FIS Image Center and Core Logic
  • Previous work experience in a bank or finance company lending area
  • Insurance experience is necessary and preferred
  • Good understanding of the flood regulations and it's requirements


Physical Requirements:



  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
