Job Overview

Title: Inventory Control & Receiving Specialist

Reports to: VP of Operations

Location: Kent, WA

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Type: Full Time; Non-Exempt


What you will do

Manage inventory and receiving activities that support production, including maintaining stock levels, processing customer orders, staging materials for production, and delivering purchased goods to the storeroom.

Primary Responsibilities

Inventory Control Responsibilities:

  • Track purchasing activity, pricing, and open orders to support on-time delivery
  • Maintain AS9100 purchasing documentation, including supplier forms, reviews, and scorecards
  • Process inventory transactions, perform monthly cycle counts, and keep the stockroom organized
  • Support inventory planning and ensure parts are identified and stored correctly
  • Prepare and expedite orders and coordinate returns of rejected or unsuitable materials



Receiving Responsibilities:

  • Develop receiving work instructions, SOPs, and Technique Cards
  • Load, unload, inspect, and move materials safely using a forklift or pallet jack
  • Verify deliveries, parts, and paperwork; document receipts and complete ERP and record-retention requirements
  • Label orders and keep parts and documentation aligned through planning and production
  • Stage and deliver materials to designated production areas and expedite priority jobs with customer service and sales
  • Review order instructions and respond to product, service, and order-status requests
  • Maintain clean work areas and protect customer products from adverse weather
  • Support Boeing Trim Program materials, MRO requisitions, paint expiration tracking, and SDS maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technical materials and purchasing practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SyteLine preferred
  • Ability to operate an electric forklift and pallet jack
  • Dependable attendance and ability to communicate in English
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; an export license may be required for access to all facility areas
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening



Preferred Education and Previous Experience

  • Related degree or equivalent experience; two years of purchasing, procurement, or finishing-facility experience preferred
  • ERP experience required; MRP experience preferred
  • Aerospace surface finishing or manufacturing experience preferred




Essential Mental/Physical Demands


Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking in office and manufacturing environments, plus frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs. Exposure may include moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and metal-finishing chemicals. Noise is typically moderate; safety glasses and hearing protection may be required.
