Primary Job Responsibility:

The Sr. Human Resources Administrator manages all the site's payroll process to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This position manages payroll preparation from timecard review through final submission, validates employee pay and personnel changes, resolves payroll and timekeeping discrepancies, maintains supporting documentation, and complete post-payroll reconciliation and reporting. The position works closely with employees, supervisors, managers, corporate payroll, and third-party payroll providers to ensure compliance with company procedures, wage-and -hour requirements, and established payroll deadlines. In addition to payroll responsibilities, the role provides advanced HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, maintains confidential records, benefits administrations, and prepares workforce reports. This position also supports the human resources manager in functional areas of staffing, benefits, compensation, and employee relations.

Description of Job Duties:
|
- Manages all aspects of local payroll including timecard review and approval, balancing the payroll file, and updating the hourly overtime report.
- Submits payroll file to Corporate Payroll Team for uploading into the ADP payroll system for final processing.
- Conducts new employee orientation and ensure all required onboarding documentation and benefits information are completed accurately and on time.
- Process and enter new hires and maintain existing employee changes in HRIS to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and process employee separation notices and related documentation; assist HR manager conducting exit interviews.
- Administer and oversee all aspects of workers compensation claims.
- Monitor short term disability and family medical leave usage.
- Provides administrative support to human resources function as needed (e.g. correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance).
- Assist employees with benefit questions.
- Assists with preparation of annual affirmative action plan; Coordinate outreach programs for Veteran, Disabled, Minority, and Women.
- Supports annual open enrollment; distributes materials, assist with communicating changes to employees.
- Assists in salary and performance administration process.
- Keeps the plant seniority list and various other documents/systems updated.
- Assists with facility activities and community programs (e.g. United Way, local programs, wellness programs).
- Assist, train and problem solve with managers and employees on HR Systems including Dimensions, and ADP.
- Provides new hire and/or existing employee data, short-term disability and workers compensation information as it relates to payroll.
- Assist Leadership team as needed; additionally provides support to HSEP initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures/processes; and federal and state regulations.
As needed and directed:
- Assist hiring manager with recruitment activities by utilizing designated interview process, scheduling interview teams and conducting wrap-up meetings for selection of hires.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
|
- Associate's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Must have computer skills; proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and effective problem-solving skills;
- Able to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal effectively with frequent change and/or unexpected events;
- Ability to plan, prioritize work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans;
- Required to actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures.

Preferred Skills:

- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification;
- Familiar with COBRA, FMLA, AAP and related state and federal regulations.
