Job Summary

Southeast Emulsions is seeking a safety-driven, results-oriented Terminal Supervisor to support the daily operations of our Perry, Georgia facility. This position is responsible for supervising terminal operations, leading personnel, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the safe and efficient production and distribution of products.
The Terminal Supervisor serves as a hands-on leader who works closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective facility performance. This role is responsible for promoting a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while supporting the Terminal Manager.

Operation and Production Management

* Supervise daily terminal operations and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
* Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand, inventory requirements, and delivery commitments.
* Monitor raw material and finished product inventories to maintain operational readiness and supply continuity.
* Ensure equipment and processes are operated in accordance with company procedures and performance standards.
* Support terminal scheduling, logistics coordination, operational planning, and customer service activities.
* Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
* Serve as the primary operational leader during the absence of the Terminal Manager.

Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance

* Promote and enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and expectations.
* Champion a strong safety culture through employee engagement, accountability, and leadership.
* Conduct safety meetings, facility inspections, job observations, and risk assessments.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Maintain accurate safety, environmental, and regulatory documentation and records.
* Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.

Leadership and Team Development

* Provide daily leadership, direction, coaching, and support to terminal operators and plant personnel.
* Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of employees.
* Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
* Support workforce scheduling and staffing requirements to ensure adequate operational coverage.
* Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and employee engagement throughout the facility.
* Participate in employee performance evaluations and development planning.

Maintenance And Reliability

* Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and operational uptime.
* Work closely with maintenance personnel and contractors to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
* Identify equipment reliability issues and assist in developing and implementing corrective actions.
* Support facility inspections, equipment assessments, and reliability improvement initiatives.
* Assist in planning and executing maintenance projects, facility repairs, and capital improvement projects.

Vendor and Contractor Management

* Coordinate and oversee work performed by contractors, service providers, and vendors.
* Ensure contractors comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational standards.
* Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
* Obtain quotations and assist with purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for operational and maintenance activities.

Quality And Customer Support

* Ensure products consistently meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
* Support customer service efforts by coordinating product availability, production priorities, and shipment schedules.
* Assist in investigating and resolving quality concerns, operational issues, and customer complaints.
* Support quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED.
* Minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing, terminal operations, construction materials, chemical processing, petroleum, or a related industrial environment.
* Previous supervisory, leadership, or crew lead experience.
* Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
* Experience with asphalt emulsions, liquid asphalt, petroleum products, or industrial manufacturing operations.
* Project management experience.
* Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
* Experience with maintenance planning.
* Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental compliance programs.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to work in both office and industrial manufacturing environments.
* Ability to climb stairs, ladders, tanks, and elevated platforms.
* Ability to frequently walk throughout the facility and work around operating equipment.
* Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and rain.
* Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely perform duties in an industrial setting.
