Functions include academic advising/counseling, student personnel administration, recruitment and admissions, registration, financial aid, faculty affairs, library services, curriculum administration, and others involving direct support of the educational mission of an academic unit.

Nature of Work
The Academic Services and CPE Program Coordinator is a shared position between the Academic Services department and the Continuing & Professional Education (CPE) office in the School of Education and Human Development. In Academic Services this position manages admissions, course planning, registration and enrollment, student services, progress tracking, and graduation certification for graduate programs. CPE is an entrepreneurial unit that offers a wide range of self-funded courses and programs for working teachers and other education professionals, as well as for adults preparing for careers in education, mental health or supporting educational enterprises. This position will work with districts and partner organizations to provide student advising and program support, and will manage the implementation of both degree and non-degree programs. Additionally, the Coordinator provides administrative support to faculty, students, and staff.

Academic Services and CPE Program Coordinator
What you will do:
Recruitment and Admissions
* Provides proactive, personalized, and integrated engagement to prospective students, primarily through phone and digital outreach, in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on connecting potential students to appropriate academic and student support resources.
* Recruit, follow-up, and facilitate admission for students, from initial inquiry through enrollment, including students in partnership-based cohort programs.
* Help students understand their estimated cost of attendance and financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
* Coordinate, plan and participate in information sessions, recruitment activities, interview days, orientations, etc.
* Provide oversight and advisement of applicants on admission requirements and support prospective students through the online application system.
* Provide wrap-around services which include support related to financial aid, student services, and academic resources available on campus.
* Facilitate the processing of applications by managing communication, materials and eligibility criteria; provides timely feedback regarding the status of applications.
* Verifies transcript information, such as credits, cumulative GPA, and awarded degrees.
* Tracks new student acceptance and update the student listservs.
Program Coordination
* Maintains a detailed multi-year course schedule to ensure students can complete their requirements.
* Coordinates and communicates important deadlines.
* Helps students and faculty navigate multiple academic calendars, policies and platforms.
* Distributes registration information to students each term appropriate for their cohort/concentration/program of study.
* Maintains confidential academic records, uploads data into student information systems, and uses advising and reporting tools to ensure accuracy.
* Tracks student progress for retention.
* Oversees the processes related to leaves of absence, program discontinuation, transfers, withdrawals, and academic probation for students.
* Perform graduation audits when students apply to graduate and certify graduation.
* Track and determine student completion of certificate and degree programs, and assist with efforts to recruit continuing and professional education non-degree students into degree programs.
* Processes student forms and routes as necessary to campus administrative offices.
* Supports students as they navigate the administrative aspects of the enrollment process, including those connected to admissions, financial aid, registration, and bursar functions.
* Supports in-person and virtual activities; assists with catering, vendor arrangements, event and program logistics.
* Assists with all university-wide commencement preparations and day-of activities.
* Ensures student handbooks are updated annually and posted to the SEHD website and distributed to faculty and students.
* Coordinate program activities, to include communication with program faculty, program oversight team, partner organization representatives/design team, student services, and CPE to ensure timely and efficient registration, evaluation, grading, and billing for the CPE programs.
* Manage graduate faculty appointment process for CPE lecturers.
* Work with instructors and program leaders to ensure that course and instructor documentation is current and accurate; that required processes, such as course evaluations and grades are completed; and that courses are scheduled according to required university timelines.
Administration
* Maintains files on current students including program of study, progress to degree, and other documentation related to student progress.
* Maintains contact information for prospects, current students, and alumni.
* Collaborates and liaises with faculty.
* Organize team meetings, shared calendars, activities, and retreats.
* Reviews website material related to programs to identify areas in need of revision or update.
* Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Primary work hours are 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday-Friday, and some evening/weekend activities may be required. The primary work location is the CU Denver campus, but some partial remote work options are available.

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
* One (1) year of experience working in higher education in either recruitment, admissions, advising, financial aid, or student support services.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
* Master's degree from an accredited college or university in education in student affairs, or related field is highly desired.
* Two years of extensive, diverse and progressively responsible experience, including direct responsibility for program coordination and management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Slate, student information systems, and other platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $54,256 - $59,968.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
