Senior Process Technician - Thin Films (Fab 25, Shift Position)


Location: Austin, Texas


Department: Films-Etch Operations



Shift: C Shift: Thursday through Saturday in week one, and Wednesday through Saturdayin week two, from 6:55AM - 7:10PM.



Overview


Fab 25 is looking for a skilled and reliable Process Technician to support daily Thin Films-Etch production operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical experience, proficiency in SPC, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role involves hands on problem solving, equipment monitoring, process support, and communication across operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.



Key Responsibilities



  • Address particle and thickness failures on production and qualification wafers.
  • Assist operators with issues impacting production flow (test wafers, quals, etc.).
  • Provide and receive daily area status updates during shift change.
  • Support equipment maintenance in identifying and resolving process related issues.
  • Partner with process engineers on projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze inline process data (thickness, particle counts) and define action plans for equipment recovery.
  • Run production tools as needed to maintain output targets.



Required Qualifications



  • AA degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of directly related semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Ability to interpret, follow, and adhere to company specifications and standard practices.
  • Ability to receive and deliver complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including communication, teamwork, leadership, and effective problem solving.
  • Proven reliability, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast paced production environment.
  • Capability to recommend potential spec changes or process improvements to module owners.



Preferred Experience



  • Experience in Thin Films Operations, or process related experience.
  • Hands on experience with Novellus, INOVA, Endura, P5000, Producer platforms.
  • Familiarity with Metro equipment and adjustments, SPC, OCAPs, and standard work.
  • E3 experience a plus.

The hourly range for this role is $21.53 - $32.30 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors, including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
